Good afternoon everyone,
The sky is overcast with the sun shining through faintly at times. The air is mild, slightly cool but with a touch of warmth to it.
Spring is here. Daffodils are blooming and crocus are over with. The soil in the garden is still rather wet, but I loosened enough of it and stuck onion plants in. My peas have sprouted and are bravely growing.
I watched a farmer attach his double 3 horse hitch to the dual bottom plow. It is always fascinating to see how he handles 6 horses, 3 in front of 3. It takes some skill to maneuver the levers on the plow plus keeping track of 2 sets of reins.
In the early mornings the chorus of bird songs become more diversified and prominent. This morning, I noticed the vocalization of the Rufus sided Towhee. It sounds like “drink your tea.”
