Good Morning Everyone,

Today is April 15th, the last day for taxes. Does that mean winter is behind us? It sure was cold this morning! Yesterday A.M. we had gentle rain. Then in the P.M. we had sunshine and warmth at 70° and in the evening we got a few severe rain and wind storms. This morning we had 35°. Brrr!

Crocus and daffodils are blooming. They are always a cheerful sight as they help us look forward to warmer days and greener grass, etc.

Birds are also back. The songs I notice most around the house are: Purple Martin, Chipping Sparrow and Mocking Birds.

The farmers have gotten quite a lot of plowing done and some gardens have been those white caps or jugs sticking in the ground which means there are plants underneath.

Springtime is also the time for Garage Sales. On April 24th and 25th there will be garage sales along CR 201 and also Berlin will have some the last part of that week. You may be able to find some treasures or something you can use.

In Mt. Hope there will be a Machinery Sale on April 27th and a Dairy Sale on the 29th. The Superior Friesian Sale is on May 3rd and 4th, which is a horse sale consisting of purebred Friesians & mixed Friesian breeds.

At the Event Center in Mt Hope the Chupps Furniture sale is on April 20th. Springtime is also time to enjoy a meal of fresh Dandelion Gravy made with bacon from the Ashery. Usually it is made with milk, but I have found that if someone wants to avoid dairy it is also good with Chicken Broth and added chicken seasoning.

This is an interesting month for me. I thank everyone that sent Birthday wishes via E-mail, Cards, on Facebook, or verbally in the store. I appreciated them all.

But the angel said unto the Women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for He has risen….” Matthew 28: 5-6a

Have a Blessed Easter,

Sovilla
