Ingredients: 100% Oat Bran. **May contains traces of Wheat and/or Barley.
- Oat Bran is produced by grinding sound and pre-selected, kilned oat groats. The resulting course oat meal is separated into refined oat flour and the oat bran to achieve a functional and attractive particle size. Oat Bran has an ideal ratio of soluble to insoluble dietary fibers, high proteins, vitamins and minerals. This oat bran is best used to make a variety of breads, muffins, cereal products and foods where the presence and “nutty” flavor of oat bran is desired.

I started having a bowl of oat bran every morning after my cholesterol lab came back high. A local store sells oat bran, but the price went up at least three times in one year, and they did not always have it in stock. So I went looking for bulk oat bran online and found Ashery. I bought 7 pounds in December 2024, and it was gone by April 2025. This time, I bought 15 pounds and expect that to last throughout 2025.. This is a great deal, very economical.

I enjoy a good Oat Bran muffin and had used Hodgson Mill oat bran for many years, but it is no longer available so I went looking and found Ashery Country Store sold it in bulk so I bought a 5 lb bag of oat bran and a bag of their 7 grain Cereal mix. The oat bran went into the muffins and the 7 grain went into Dakota bread, both a heart healthy product and very delicious. My only complaint is that for every pound of product I buy I pay $1.00 in shipping cost or more. But it is worth it for good product.

Good product. Good price. Shipping, however, cost more than the product. Will continue to buy, though.

My husband enjoys Oat Bran and Steel Cut Oats from Ashery’s. I have always come to the Amish Country for a couple of days each summer but unable to do so this year so I ordered through the mail. Fast service but the shipping is a little steep but will continue to order. We love the store.

The Ashery is an interesting place. The original building, still in use, originally – in the 19th century – was built to process hardwood ash for lye, used in making soap and glass, and potassium nitrate, a principal part of gunpowder. My wife grew up near the Ashery’s location and I was taken there on my first visit to meet her family. At that time the building housed the producer of the Ohio state champion Swiss cheese, which eventually was closed down because their kettles and troughs were made of copper, which OSHA banned. I was glad to see that the historic building was then purchased for an Amish Country Store and that it has prospered through many decades since. Their products are always of the highest quality and sold at reasonable prices, and their staff is among the friendliest and most helpful I have encountered. Shipping costs are expensive, but if you can buy a full bag of a product, usually something like 50 pounds (I share a bag with relatives and friends) they will arrange drop shipment from their suppliers.
