- Recipe: 2½ cups of water and ½ to ¾ cup Garden Vegetable Soup Mix. In a large saucepan, combine soup starter and water; stir and let it stand for 5 minutes. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Simmer for 10 minutes then remove from heat, cover and let steam for 5 minutes. Add sodium-free seasoning or salt and pepper to taste.
