- Haitian rice and black beans is a traditional Haitian dish flavored with minced garlic, crispy toasted onions, cayenne pepper and cloves. To create a perfect meal, pair this dish with your favorite fresh meat such as chicken or beef.
- Recipe: 2 cups water, 1 cup rice blend. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add rice blend. Return to a boil, stir, cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 15-20 minutes. Stir, remove from heat, keep covered and allow to steam for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve. Makes about 4 servings (¾ cup each)
