Ingredients: Lentils, Parboiled Rice (parboiled long grain rice, iron phosphate, niacin, thiamine mononitrate, and folic acid), Dried Carrots, Canola Oil, Garlic Salt (salt, granulated garlic, silicon dioxide), Dried Onion, Dried Garlic, Salt, Monosodium Glutamate, Black Pepper. Processed on equipment that also processes: Crustacean Shellfish, Egg, Fish, Milk, Peanut, Soy, Tree Nuts (Almond, Brazil Nut, Cashew, Coconut, Filbert (Hazelnut), Macadamia Nut, Pecan, Pine Nut, Pistachio, Walnut) and Wheat.
- Lentil pilaf combines healthy lentils and long grain white rice seasoned with a traditional blend of carrots, onion, garlic and a dash of black pepper for a side dish that makes a great alternative to plain steamed rice. Try serving with your favorite fresh meat for a nutritious and complete meal.
- Recipe: 2 ½ cups water and 1 cup pilaf. In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Stir in rice blend. Return to a boil and stir. Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 15-20 minutes. Stir, remove from heat, keep covered and allow to steam for 10 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve. Makes about 4 servings (¾ cup each).
